Step 1 Tool > Internet Options

Now go to your menu in Internet Explorer.  Click on Tools > Internet Options.  When you get there click on the Security Tab and then click on Trusted Sites.

Step 2 Add to Trusted Sites

Now you can add the URL by simply pressing the add button.   This is basically saying, “Hey I trust HP and will let them download components”.

Step 3 Refresh

Now click refresh.  This will begin the downloading of components process.

Step 4 Sign In

Now you should be able to sign it.  If you are still having problems try unchecking Enable Protected Mode and refresh the page.  This should trigger the install

    i have followed the same step as mentioned above and still having issues with connecting to ALM via application as well as IE. Through IE it wants me to download the .msi file and at the end of download i receive the message saying that file is invalid or corrupt. An through ALM application it got the message saying “Initialization has failed. Contact your system administrator.For details, see the Loader log file”.

    It worked perfectly for IE 11 on Windows 10 instalation!!! Great tip!
